New to therapy?
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you've never done it before. You may be wondering what to talk about, whether your problems are "serious enough," or what therapy is actually supposed to look like.
The good news is that you don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and move toward meaningful change.
In our first sessions, we'll spend time getting to know one another, exploring what brings you to therapy, and discussing what you hope to get out of the process. There is no pressure to share everything right away- you are welcome to move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation if you'd like to ask questions and see whether we're a good fit before booking your first session.
Tea and water station!
What working together looks like:
-
You can click the booking link above to schedule a consultation or email me for any questions (mia@attachmentstherapy.com).
-
We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and whether working together feels like the right fit.
-
If you decide to move forward, you'll receive intake forms, consent documents, and a questionnaire to complete before your first session. This helps me get to know you and ensures you have all the information you need before we begin.
-
We'll start getting to know your story -not just what's happening now, but the experiences and patterns that have shaped you.
-
Therapy is collaborative. Together, we'll identify what you'd like to work toward and create a plan that feels meaningful, realistic, and tailored to your needs. We'll slow things down, make sense of what's underneath, and work toward creating lasting change.
