In-person therapy in Toronto · Virtual therapy across Ontario

Hi, I’m Mia.

At Attachments Psychotherapy, I believe that healing happens through safe, supportive relationships.

Therapy is not about fixing what's "wrong" with you. It's about understanding how your life experiences, relationships, and challenges have shaped the way you think, feel, and connect with others.

Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, anxious, or hurt by past and present relationships. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you from feeling like yourself and work toward healthier, more fulfilling ways of relating to yourself and the people around you.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in attachment-based therapy. Rather than rushing to find quick solutions, we'll take time to understand what you're experiencing, why it's happening, and what healing might look like for you.

Whether you're seeking individual therapy or couples therapy, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation for individuals and couples, with in-person sessions in Toronto and virtual therapy available across Ontario.

Our Values

Relational - Not Prescriptive

Meaningful change happens through understanding and connection. Not quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions.

Safety in Pacing

Trust is built over time. We move at a pace that supports your comfort and readiness.

Collaboration

Therapy is a shared process, shaped together not just directed at you.

Context Matters

You are shaped by your relationships, environment, culture, and lived experience. These layers are held with care here.

Embodiment in Felt Experience

Insight matters, but so does what happens in the body. Here we attend to emotional and physiological responses, helping you notice and trust what you feel, not just what you think.

Authenticity

Therapy is a space to be honest without having to perform or explain yourself. You’re invited to show up as you are, at your own pace.

Frequently asked questions

What type of therapy do you offer?

My approach is attachment-based, relational, and trauma-informed. This means we’ll spend time understanding the patterns that have developed throughout your life, how they show up in your relationships today, and how we can create meaningful change. I integrate a variety of evidence-based approaches and tailor therapy to each person's unique needs and goals.

How do I get started?

Send an email through the contact section and we’ll book a brief consult to see if we’re a good fit. You can also check out the Getting Started page to know what to expect.

How do I know you’re the right therapist for me?

Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. Research consistently shows that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in therapy.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can discuss what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping to work on, and any questions you may have. This gives you an opportunity to get a sense of my approach and whether it feels like a good fit for you.

It’s important that you feel comfortable, understood, and supported. If it doesn’t feel like the right fit, I am happy to help connect you with other resources or therapists who may be a better match.

What if I’m unsure about starting therapy?

It’s completely normal to feel uncertain about starting therapy. You don’t need to be in crisis or have everything figured out before reaching out. Many people begin therapy because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply curious about understanding themselves more deeply.

If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, a free 15-minute consultation can be a good place to start. We can talk about what’s bringing you here, answer any questions you have, and explore whether therapy feels like a helpful next step.

Do I have to know what to talk about in therapy?

Not at all. Some people come to therapy with a clear concern, while others simply know something doesn’t feel right. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.

Do you offer direct billing for psychotherapy services?

I offer direct billing for Medavie Blue Cross and Sunlife. Check with your insurance provider to see if services are covered. Receipts are provided with all the info needed to claim through your provider.
